Strike Back: Women’s Safety Redefined was a two-term Senior Capstone project at Parsons. With a background in self-defense and martial arts, I have always been passionate about teaching safety to women. My Capstone focused on the issue of violence against women within urban environments, with the ultimate vision of developing a solution that empowers women with the tools to protect themselves. Throughout the first term, a rigorous design research process was developed, identifying opportunities for creative intervention. The final deliverable for the first term was a seventy-page document outlining the research process and the design plan for the second term.
